Shadowstreak's ice gaze raked the shadowed ground, she was exceptionally good at seeing in the pitch black and sneaking around. She thought this was odd because she herself was born in ThunderClan, not that anyone in her clan knew that. She was sneaking in the shadows of the deepest pine at moonhigh. Even as newleaf came the drought sent the swamps higher and the ground was so muddy many cats had gotten stuck. She was here in the deepest pine forest where it was the least wet from the tree cover so no one would see her cross the border into ThunderClan territory. She had just crossed when she heard a cat. Her head shot around and she hissed slowly, looking for her Stalker.
